Dean Alborough, Head of ESG at Old Mutual Alternative Investments, speaks to The Sustainability Story, where he discusses how private markets can integrate sustainability risks and opportunities. Dean also touches on the current state of sustainable investing in Africa, in particular the continent’s energy transition, and the challenges and opportunities around this.

“One of the big conversations in South Africa and in other parts of Africa is around transition and what that can look like. A lot of countries are still dependent on coal or heavy fuel oil or diesel as their power source, and that really dominates their greenhouse gas footprint.”
