To best service OMAI’s clients in a market with favourable growth dynamics, and to meet client needs, OMAI has added industry veteran, Christo Geyer to the newly established Client Markets team. With more than 25 years’ experience, Christo will be instrumental in working with OMAI’s South African clients.

OMAI is embarking on a journey to build on its strong market position and increase market share in a growing market. With the ongoing shift towards alternative assets, OMAI is well-positioned to make a positive impact across Africa and deliver competitive returns to investors.

The commitment to meet the current and evolving needs of its clients is at the core of OMAI. The newly established Client Markets function, under the helm of Clodagh Bourke, will focus on enhancing existing investor relations capabilities, capital raising and understanding the needs of clients to best meeting their unique investment goals.

Prior to joining OMAI, Christo was the Head of Business Development at Prudential Investment Managers and before this, he worked at Investec Asset Management as Client Director and Business Development Director. He began his career in as actuary at General Reinsurance Africa Limited and Alexander Forbes.

Christo is a qualified Actuary, a CFA charterholder and Financial Risk Manager (Global Association of Risk Professionals). He holds a B.Sc. degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Witwatersrand. Christo is an active member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa. He is currently a member of the Investment Committee and he was previously the Chairman of the Actuarial Governance Board.
