Helga joined the Sustainability team in 2025 as a Sustainability Manager. In this role, she is responsible for providing specialist support in business integrity management across the organisation.

Business integrity encompasses adherence to laws, regulations, and ethical standards and ensuring transparency and accountability in all areas of business activity. At its core, it is about doing business with honesty and consistency.

With over 30 years of experience in law, ethics and compliance, Helga brings extensive expertise in supporting organisations to combat corruption and strengthen business integrity frameworks. Her work includes conducting corruption risk assessments, developing and reviewing policies and training material,s and benchmarking standards against international best practices.

Helga reports to the Head of Sustainability and works closely with teams across the business to embed integrity-driven practices.

Her professional background includes serving as in-house counsel at Old Mutual, acting as an independent director, trustee and public officer, as well as running her own consulting practice focused on legal risk and compliance services. Helga is an admitted attorney with international exposure in the field of Business Integrity and holds an LLB from the University of South Africa.
