Marc Ngama is a Sustainability Specialist with more than 13 years of pan-African experience supporting private equity, infrastructure, and impact investment funds. His expertise spans ESG due diligence, environmental and social risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement, delivering measurable sustainability outcomes across the investment lifecycle.

He has worked extensively across core infrastructure sectors including renewable energy, transport, oil and ga,s and private capital projects in across Africa. His experience includes Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS), Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAPs), and ESG monitoring aligned to key international frameworks including IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, UNPRI, and ILO requirements.

Marc has significant experience partnering with investment teams and fund managers to integrate ESG considerations into investment decision-making, while driving value creation and compliance through proactive ESG management and capacity building. He is fluent in French, enabling effective cross-regional engagement across African markets and supporting stakeholder relations on complex, multi-country transactions.

His responsibilities have included leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary specialist inputs, site-based ESG supervision during construction and operations, and preparation of investor-facing ESG reporting and disclosures. Marc has contributed to projects aligned to development finance institution requirements including the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank.

Marc holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Geology and a BSc in Applied Geology from the University of the Western Cape. He also completed professional development in Project Management through the Geological Society of South Africa, and Leadership and People Management through Varsity College
