Marzaan heads up the origination effort in the African debt space, and oversees the investment process and strategic direction of the business.

Prior to joining OMAI, Marzaan was part of OMSFIN’s origination team, where, over time, she assumed responsibility for the origination, structuring and execution of transactions in the leverage finance, corporate, renewable energy and SOE spaces. 

She has over 18 years’ financial services and operational experience, spanning entire capital structure, and various instruments and jurisdictions. She completed articles at PwC and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and a CFA charterholder.  She has a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch and Accounting Honours from the University of SA.
