Siyabonga is an Investment Associate for Hybrid Equity, a business unit within Old Mutual Alternative Investments (OMAI) and is responsible for providing investment support across the full hybrid equity value chain.

Prior to joining OMAI in 2020, Siyabonga spent one year at Old Mutual Specialised Finance, where he assisted in the execution of transactions in various industries in the principal investment team. Prior to that, he was a treasury dealer at the FirstRand Group, having successfully graduated from the RMB global markets team.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg, and a MPhil (Development Finance) from the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
