De Wet Wessel is the Head of Greenfields Development for the Impact Investing Team at Old Mutual Alternative Investments (OMAI). His responsibilities include managing the existing portfolio of greenfield housing investments.

His experience includes operational management at deal and project level, financial management, and the wider credit environment, and for the past 11 years focussing on residential housing developments.

De Wet joined OMAI in February 2013 and his previous experience includes various roles at Mettle, a structured finance organisation. He completed his accounting articles at LDP Incorporated.

He is a qualified chartered accountant and completed a Master’s degree in Development Finance. De Wet is currently a board member for various development SPVs and Greenfield Development Company, a 100% subsidiary of the Housing Impact Fund of South Africa.
