Gavin is the head of the Retirement Accommodation Fund (OMRAF) which invests in retirement accommodation development and acquisition transactions. He is responsible for the overall strategy, asset management, deal origination, and performance of originated assets.

He joined Old Mutual Alternative Investments in May 2015 and brings with him over 20 years of experience in the property investment market and financial services industry. Prior to joining OMAI, his previous experience includes various roles in the Investment Banking environment, with in-depth exposure to risk management, debt origination, and property development finance.

Gavin has a BCom degree from the University of Cape Town and various other property and management certifications. He currently serves on the boards of several of OMAI's Impact Investing investee companies.
