Willem Van der Merwe is a Senior Investment professional within the Impact Investing Education Team and is responsible for deal origination and asset management within the education portfolio.

Willem joined the Impact Investing team in June 2010 and has been instrumental in the educational team’s success.

Prior to joining Old Mutual Investment Group, he spent seven years working in the property industry in the United Kingdom, working for GE Real Estate, Prudential Property Investment Managers, Mirvac UK and Deloitte.

Willem is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD). He currently serves on seven boards within the education portfolio.
