Kathiem Najjaar heads the Operations & Data (O&D) function for the International Private Equity business unit within Old Mutual Alternative Investments (OMAI). He joined OMAI’s Impact Investing capability in 2011, focusing specifically on end-user finance assets, before taking a brief stint with OMSFIN in 2015. In 2016, he returned to OMAI as part of the central operations team, where he was responsible for fund performance, reviewing fund accounting and structures, and reporting.

Prior to joining Old Mutual, Kathiem held various operational roles at several large asset management companies before joining KPMG in 2005 to complete his articles. He then spent two years in KPMG’s corporate finance business, gaining exposure to M&A transactions, valuations, and JSE fairness opinions.

Kathiem is a Chartered Accountant with 20 years of experience in financial services and operations.
